A goods worth Rs 35,000 were stolen from a grocery store located in Malasia village of Jagraon in Ludhiana. The police have registered a case two and a half months after the incident. The police reached the spot and recorded the statements but did not take any action. The police has started investigating.

According to the information, Madan Lal’s shop of Mahavir Colony is located outside the house of former sarpanch Harbans Singh. On February 21, he closed the shop at 7 pm and went home. The next morning, Gurminder Singh of the village called and reported that the locks of the shop were broken.
Stolen goods including ghee from the shop
On reaching the spot, Madan Lal saw that the thieves had taken 5 cans of desi ghee, 10 bottles of mustard oil and 20 kg of sugar. Apart from this, women and children’s goods, food items, pulses and 9 bottles of soft drinks were also stolen.
Case registered after two and a half months
In this regard, the police of the police station Sadar was informed. As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot and recorded the statements. But no action was taken for so many days. Now a case has been registered against unknown thieves in police station Sadar. Surprisingly, in two and a half months, the police could not even find out the clue of the police thieves.
SI Jagjit Singh said that the investigation has been started and the thieves will be caught soon.
