Sharp response to farmer leaders

Saravan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallawal criticized the policies of the central government in a joint press conference after a meeting held at Kisan Bhawan in Chandigarh. • The issue of theft and compensation: AAP MLA Gurlal Singh Ghanore and his supporters have been accused of stealing tractors, trolley, solar panels, anchor materials. FIRs should be lodged in this case and farmers should be compensated.
  • Compensation for injured and martyrs: The seriously injured farmers should be given Rs 25 lakh and government jobs, 5 lakhs to the injured, Rs 1 lakh to the martyred farmers and compensation to the families of the martyred farmers and the government job.
  • Opposition to land acquisition: The Bharatmala project in Gurdaspur, Amritsar and Tarn Taran was opposed to forced land acquisition without paying compensation.
