On Sunday, an army vehicle fell into a 600 meter deep ditch in the battery glasses area of Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. 3 soldiers died in the accident. The deceased soldiers have been identified as Amit Kumar, Sujit Kumar and Man Bahadur.
Army, police, SDRF and local administration are running rescue operations. At present, the cause of the accident is not known.
Earlier on January 4, 4 soldiers died after the army truck fell into a ditch in Bandipora district. 2 soldiers were seriously injured. Only 6 soldiers were riding in the truck. Officials said the accident occurred in SK Payin area of the district.
