Filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor arrived at the Waves 2025 event. During this, he said that he does not need actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan for his films, as he will prepare his character and star with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Shekhar Kapoor told that in the coming time, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will now do the work of making big stars in films. He explained that the actor will remain only actor, because he will make AI stars later. AI will create more human -like stars. That is, AI will now be able to make such characters or faces which will look exactly like humans.
He said, ‘I can create a new face with the help of AI myself. Whether it is a boy, a girl, a man or a woman and my copyright on him. Meaning he will be my own star, which I can use in my films. Very soon many ideas of AI films will be revealed.
Shekhar Kapoor said that now the technology has moved so much that no big actor, such as Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan, is not needed to make a film. He said that nowadays many influential faces or famous people on social media are not real humans, but they have been created by AI.
This means that AI can now make faces and characters that look real, behind which there is no human being. But still they become famous. So why can’t we make films in which the actors and characters we have made from AI and who themselves become a star?
I do not need Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan. If I am really good, then I will make a character that the audience will love. Then he will be my own actor. My world superstar.
According to Shekhar, AI helps the common people, so that they can show their words and art. But he also said that machines should not be dependent. The biggest difference between humans and AI is that humans can understand emotions and can face difficult or unknown things. Shekhar said that the mystery and uncertainty in life gives us the strength to live.
