Munir Ahmed, a soldier who married a Pakistani woman, has been dismissed by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Munir Ahmed, a 41 battalion soldier of CRPF, is accused of marrying Meenal Khan, who lives in Sialkot, Pakistan. He illegally placed Meenal to India even after the visa was over.

CRPF said- Munir Ahmed has been considered a threat to service conduct and national security. He went to India in India by going against visa rules.

Case opened after Pahalgam attack After the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April, the central government suspended visas of all Pakistani citizens. Pakistani woman Meenal Khan also received notice to leave the country.

The CRPF jawan filed an appeal in the Bhalwal court of Jammu to prevent his wife from sending him to Pakistan. In the petition, he said that Meenal was married online to Munir Khan in May 2024.

Munir Ahmed’s family is a resident of Handwal village near Rabta Tehsil in Bhalwal, Jammu and Kashmir. Meenal came to India on a short term visa in March 2025. He applied for long term visas, which is pending in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Meenal was not submitted after the court order, but after the case in the media, CRPF took cognizance of this and took action against Munir.
