The University Grant Commission (UGC) has formed the Fact Finding Committee to find the body of Nepali Student at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT).

The committee has four members. Former Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been made Nageshwar Rao as the chairman of the committee. The committee has to submit its report in 10 days.

The committee will not only investigate the deaths of two Nepali students, but will also suggest the student welfare, security regulation and measures to stop such incidents. The committee will also test Kiit’s Mental Health Support System.

The body of Prisa Sah, a student of B.Tech Computer Science Engineering First Year, was found hanging from the hostel room fan on 1 May. Earlier in February too, another Nepalese student was committed by nature Lamsal.
