The Indo-Tibet Border Police (ITBP) climbers climbed Mount Makalu, the fifth highest peak in the world in Nepal. ITBP became India’s first central armed police force to do so. ITBP said on Friday that the 8485 meter high peak was climbed on 19 April.
The exercise was part of the double international campaign of Mount Makalu and Mount Annapurna (8091 meters) in Nepal. For this, the team left for Delhi on 21 March. 12 climbers of ITBP climbed for the first time on both peaks. Deputy Commandant Anoop Kumar Negi was leading this team.

Murder of Tamil Nadu’s elderly couple at the farmhouse; Opposition criticized law and order

The elderly husband and wife were killed on Thursday night in Erode district of Tamil Nadu. The couple lived alone in their farmhouse. Superintendent of Police Sujata said, ‘Eight teams have been formed to investigate. In the investigation, 80 grams of gold jewelery is missing.
The opposition is criticizing the government on this matter. Leader of the Opposition and AIADMK General Secretary Palanisamy said, ‘The government has put the people of the state in an atmosphere of fear. They are unable to sleep peacefully at night. I urge the Chief Minister to take strict legal action against all the criminals involved in murder and robbery.
