.
Jathedar expressed concern over the situation of families trapped on the Attari-Wagah border, saying, “Mothers on the border are crying for their children and children for their mothers.” Human parts and blood are all the same, so we should not move towards destruction like war. Wars have not solved any problem till date, they have been fatal to humanity, animals and environment.
Jathedar Gadgaj also attracted attention to the Pakistani citizens who had come to India for treatment and are now stranded. Realizing the human side of these patients, he appealed to the Government of India to take appropriate decisions.

Punjab’s right to water
Jathedar said that Dariya of Punjab flows in Punjab, so the first right on water is from Punjab. This is not a matter of drinking water, but to save Punjab from being barren. Haryana can only be given water when Punjab is left.
He alleged that when water was released from Punjab, many parts of the state were submerged, yet the people of Punjab are not getting their rights.
Religious and constitutional basis
Jathedar Gadgaj said that “It is clear in Guru Sahib’s Bani that all are equal, human beings are one. There is humanity above the country and religion.” He also said that the Constitution also says that the states where rivers flow, the first right on water belongs to them.
