Citizens of both countries, who have not returned to their country till Wednesday, are now trapped. India has already announced that if Pakistan citizens do not return, action will be taken against them.
Delhi resident Muhammad Shariq along with his two sisters Nabila Raj and Shamin Irfan reached the Attari-Wagah border, but were barred from returning to Pakistan due to ‘dispute’.
Nabila and Sharamin were married in Pakistan several years ago. Both sisters came to India on a visa of about 45 days to meet their sick mother. But now that they have to return, they have been implicated by the intricacies of both countries.
Shariq said that both sisters have Indian passports, while their children have Pakistani passports.

Both sisters were seen crying on the border. He kept pleading to return to Pakistan again and again. He said- Our children are in Pakistan. We do not understand what to do now. The government requested that we be allowed to return to our children as a human being.
Other families also trapped in the same situation
Muhammad Shariq told that there are many more families whose children are in India and mother in Pakistan or opposite. The ongoing dispute between India and Pakistan and the biggest loss of mutual tension, such border line families are suffering.
