South actor Ghanta Naveen Babu alias ‘Nani’ recently reacted on Salman Khan’s statement in which Salman said that South’s films are seen with great fervor in North India, but Hindi cinema is not seen as much in South. Now Nani denied this statement. Also taunted the actor and said, if his films are not seen in South, then how did he become a superstar?

Actually, during the promotion of the film ‘Alexander’, Salman Khan said that the people of South call him ‘Bhai-Bhai’ very fondly in public places, but there are no theater to watch his films. He also said that the people of North India watch South’s films with great love and make it a hit, while South Indian people never try to adopt Bollywood films.

Now in a conversation with DNA India, Nani reacted to Salman Khan’s statement. He said, the cinema of the south came later. The love that South cinema is now found has recently got. But the love that Bollywood has received in the south has been going on for decades. If you ask someone (South) there, which is your favorite Hindi film? So he will have childhood memories of Amitabh Bachchan.

He will talk about a lot of films. We always watched Hindi movies. Films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ have been blockbusters in Hyderabad and other southern states. Now everyone is liking films from South, but Hindi cinema has always been adopted all over the country.

Nani further said on Salman Khan’s statement, ‘No, don’t go there? How did you become a superstar without walking? 100% runs and we all love them. We all have seen many films of Salman. Films like ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun ..’ have cultural significance there. ‘Didi Tera Dewar Deewana’ and other songs we used to play in our weddings. ‘
