In Canada today, on April 28, there will be general elections for the post of Prime Minister, in which it will be decided who will form the next government. These elections are being held at a time when Canada is entangled in Tariff War with its neighbor America.
Although elections were to be held in Canada on October 2025, but Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a new election last month saying that he needed a strong mandate to deal with Trump.
Justin Trudeau, who was Canadian Prime Minister since 2015, resigned from his post earlier this year, after which Mark Karney was elected the new Prime Minister. The Prime Minister’s term in Canada is 5 years, but if you lose a lot or PM, then Parliament can dissolve before time.
