Congress MP Pradhanut Borodoloi and MLA Sibamoni Bora were attacked on Sunday during a panchayat election campaign in Nagaon district of Assam. According to the police, the two leaders have suffered minor injuries while their vehicles were heavy damage. The incident took place in the village of Upumdumia over the Dhing police station, when both the party were going to campaign with the workers.
The police officer said that Borodoloi, Bora and APCC spokesperson Mohsin Khan were moving towards Jangoni village for the rally. At the same time, 10-12 masked miscreants dressed in black clothes stopped the convoy at a deserted place and attacked them. After the incident, Bolodolai alleged that there was an attack at the BJP’s behest.
