The main objective of the ceremony was to establish coordination between the manual soldiers, ex -servicemen and civil administration. During this period, checks, wheelchairs, sewing machines, bikes, bicycles and medical equipment were distributed to the beneficiaries under several welfare schemes.
Representatives of various departments of the Ministry of Defense were present along with the District Commissioner in the program. These included officers of the Indian Army’s Ex -Servicemen Directorate, Army Welfare Placement Organization, Defense Pension Distribution Office and Ex -Servicemen Contributional Health Scheme.
