Jagjit Singh, a 58 -year -old cable businessman of Green Field Colony in Moga, Punjab, committed suicide by shooting himself with a licensed gun at 2 pm today. Jagjit was doing cable business for the last 25 years. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the case

Shot on the upper floor
According to the information, on the day of the incident, Jagjit sent his wife to Darbar Sahib. He then went to the upper floor of the house and shot himself. When he did not reach work for two hours, his sons went home. Jagjit was found soaked in blood there. Mayor Baljit Singh Chani said that he reached the spot as soon as the information was received. Jagjit was rushed to a government hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Two sons live abroad
Jagjit’s two sons live abroad. According to investigating officer Harvinder Singh, no suicide note has been received from the spot. Police is investigating the cause of suicide. At present, the body is kept in the mortuary.
