Austin Goldie, who lost his father Sushil Nathanial, described the incident of Pahalgam attack.
Sushil Nathanial of Indore died in the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. He went to visit Kashmir with son Austin Goldie, daughter Akanksha and wife Jennifer. After Sushil’s funeral in Indore on Thursday, his son Austin Goldie spoke to Dainik Bhaskar

Austin said- When the terrorist came to the father, he asked that you are a Muslim? Papa refused. Then he said- read Kalma. My father said- how will I read Kalma, I am Christian. On hearing this, the terrorists first shot in the chest and then in the head. All this happened in front of our eyes and we kept watching all this.
Austin also told that the terrorists were taking selfies with every corpse. They would make videos and make sure that the one who was shot is dead or not. Austin looked emotional while sharing the entire journey from Indore to Pahalgam with his father.

Plan to go to Kashmir like this
Austin told- We had a plan to go somewhere else. Papa was in LIC. His schedule was not matching. There were other reasons. We thought that this time Easter would celebrate outside. It was decided that the sister in Surat goes to Akanksha. Will go for a walk from there.
We reached Surat from Indore. Stopped two days here. Made a plan to sit with father, sister and mother and go for a walk. Before leaving Surat, we had decided that all four of us are going, we have to be happy.
After the plan was prepared, we went to Chandigarh from Surat to Chandigarh. Shopping here. We were all excited about this trip. I made all the photo-videos of walking. Even boarding passes were made photo-videos.
Papa said- Looking at the mother, how courageous it is Austin said- We riding for the first time in Pahalgam. There was also a little fear during horse riding. Then Papa said that for the first time there is a fear of horse riding. We also circled in Ferris. Here we were enjoying. When the sister was having some difficulty in walking, she stopped away.
Mother-father and I went towards the ropeway. When Mummy was in the ropeway, Papa and I were together. During this time, Papa told me how courage your mother is. When I spoke to my father, Papa went to mother and I started going to sister.
Papa and Mummy reached the washroom near the ropeway. He said that we walk only through the washroom. After this they went to that side. After which this whole incident took place.
Shot in front of us, many corpses were lying in the field Austin told- Navy officer was shot in front of us. The terrorist told him to read Kalma and tell him. When he read Kalma, the terrorists asked to take off his paint. When the Navy officer took off the paint, he was also shot.
Wherever you look, there were corpses lying there. The father saved us, but the father of a lot of children could not do this. Many dead bodies were lying in that ground. There was screaming all around. The terrorists were taking selfies with every corpse. Making the video and making sure that the one who was shot is dead or not. After that he would move forward. I could not understand where we go and what to do.
Sushil Nathanial was cremated in Indore on Thursday.
Sister’s leg fracture, operation can be done today Austin told- Sister Akanksha is not shot. His leg is fractured. He is admitted to Bombay Hospital. There may also be an operation on Friday. The fracture was caused by falling in Pahalgam.
Austin also said that if you go to a place like Kashmir, then see whether there is an army or not? Whether it is the police or not because it is the biggest tourist spot.
