Many calls made from unknown international number

According to the police, the builder, whose name has been kept secret for security reasons, received several calls and voice messages from an unknown international number from 16 to 19 April. Initially after ignoring the call due to his busy schedule, the builder finally responded to a call in the evening, during which the caller described himself as an associate of Landa and threatened.

The alleged caller warned the builder that he had detailed information about his family, including his children’s daily routines, and demanded extortion. When the builder did not respond, he received additional threatening voice messages on 19 April, forcing him to contact the police.

Acting on his complaint, Sarabha Nagar Police lodged an FIR against unknown caller under Section 308 (4) (attempted to recover a person forcibly by showing fear of death or serious injury) and 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).

Real estate agent got threat in Samrala on 19 April This is the second recent case of such a threat in Ludhiana district. On April 19, the Samrala police registered a separate FIR when a real estate agent reported a call from a person claiming to be a member of the Bambiha gang.

In that case, the accused, known as Prince, a resident of Khamano of Fatehgarh Sahib, allegedly demanded Rs 10 lakh and threatened to shoot a real estate agent.

The accused allegedly introduced himself as “Prince Thikariwal” and claimed to face several murder cases.

Initially, the real estate agent accidentally considered the call as a mischief, but when the caller started sharing personal information about his family’s activities, he got nervous. The Samrala police have registered a case against Prince under allegations of forced recovery attempt and criminal intimidation.
