The police arrested wife Pallavi in the murder of former Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Om Prakash. He was then produced in court, from where he was sent to a 14 -day judicial custody. According to media reports, the daughter has also been arrested.
According to police source, Om Prakash was eating food at the time of the incident. During this, there was a fight between the two. It increased so much that the wife murdered him. Pallavi first threw chilli powder at Om Prakash, when DGP was running around before getting relief from jealousy, Pallavi stabbed her neck, stomach and chest with 10-12 stabs. Daughter Kriti was also present there during this incident.
According to the source associated with the investigation, 5 days before the murder, the accused wife was conspiring to death from Google. Searching things like ‘How to death by cutting throat veins’ on Google. This has been revealed after scrutinizing devices and search history. According to the police, the murder was pre-made.
At the same time, initial investigation has revealed that after the murder, the former DGP wife messaged the wife of another IPS officer- ‘Eliminated a monster.’ Pallavi later called him and told him that he had killed Om Prakash. After this, the IPS officer informed the police.

The son accused the mother and sister of murder
On the complaint of son Kartikesh, a case of murder was registered on former DGP wife and daughter Kriti. Kartikesh has alleged that his mother Pallavi had been threatening to kill her father for the past one week. Due to threats, the father went to stay at his sister’s house.
Two days ago, younger sister Kriti went there and brought her father back against her will. Both often quarreled with the father. Earlier, Kartikesh had told a TV channel that mother Pallavi is struggling with serious mental illnesses. He has been undergoing treatment for 12 years of schizophrenia (confusion, fear of fear).
There was a dispute about property
According to media reports, there was a dispute between Om Prakash and wife Pallavi over the property. Om Prakash transferred the property to a relative. Due to this, there was frequent quarrel between the two, which later came to a scuffle.
Police is investigating whether his daughter has a role in the murder. Additional Bangalore Additional Commissioner of Police Vikas Kumar said that the police received information about the death of the retired officer at around 4 pm on Sunday evening.

Om Prakash was a resident of Bihar 1981 batch IPS officer Om Prakash acted as the state’s DGP and IGP from 2015 to 2017. Prakash, a native of Bihar, started his career as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Harpanhali (erstwhile Bellary district).
He also worked as DIG in the Lokayukta, Fire Department and Emergency Service and Crime Investigation Department (CID). He was appointed the state’s DGP in March 2015 and retired in 2017.
