Weapons recovered from the accused after the encounter by the Punjab Police.
There was an encounter between Punjab Police and miscreants on Tuesday morning in Taran Taran, Punjab. On receiving secret information, the police indicated to stop two persons coming on a motorcycle in village straw near Saran Amanat Khan police station during the morning patrol.

He then fired directly on the police. In response to which the police also opened fire, causing a bullet in the leg of a crook and injured. The injured person was admitted to Tarn Taran Civil Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, two lock pistols and a motorcycle have been recovered from the scene.

Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav said that in the action taken on the basis of intelligence information, Taran Taran police arrested two accused. Those who have been identified as Sukhdev Singh alias Dev and Swarn Kumar alias Horse. Both were working for large arms smuggling modules. Which has been broken by Punjab Police.
Accused Sukhdev Singh alias Dev opened fire on the police. He was shot in retaliation and was admitted to Civil Hospital Tarn Taran. Police recovered a lock 9mm and a PX5 .30 caliber pistol, 7 live cartridges and 3 empty shells from the accused. Initial investigation shows that the accused were in direct contact with Pakistan -based smugglers and were supplying weapons in Tarn Taran and nearby districts.
