Eight Naxalites have been killed in an encounter with security forces on Monday morning in Bokaro, Jharkhand. The encounter took place in a wild area between Lugu and Jhumra mountains in the district. Several weapons have also been recovered from the scene.

According to Jharkhand DGP, Naxalite Prayag Manjhi alias Vivek, a Naxalite of one crore rupees, was also killed in the encounter. So far, a total of 8 Naxalites have been recovered.
