The accident took place at around 12:15 pm at Alpha Parking Bay 71 at the airport. The airport administration said the Tempo belonged to a third-party ground handling agency, and was being used to release the airport staff.
The aircraft with which the tempo collided with the engine repair was already grounded and not yet operated. Because of this, no passenger was present.

Accident occurred due to negligence of driver
IndiGo in his statement that the accident happened due to the negligence of the driver. The Tempo hit the plane causing the vehicle’s roof and the side of the driver badly damaged. The driver has suffered minor injuries in the accident, while how much damage has been done to the aircraft is being evaluated.

Airport administration engaged in investigation
The airport administration said that the information of the accident has been given to DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) and the case is being investigated. At the same time, both the airport and IndiGo have assured that all the security precautions will be implemented in advance and strictly.
