Actor-director Anurag Kashyap apologized on his objectionable statement on the Brahmin community. He posted on Instagram late Friday night.
He wrote- I apologize, but I am not asking for my post but for the one line that was taken wrongly and hatred was spread. No action or speech is more than your daughter, family, friends and who know. They are getting rape threats, money is being given to kill him. Those who call themselves Sanskari are doing all this.
He further wrote- So the said thing cannot be taken back and will not take, but let me abuse me. My family has neither said nor says anything. So if I want to forgive me, then this is my apology. Brahmins spare women, so much rites are also in the scriptures, not only in Manuwad. Which Brahmin you are, decide? The rest forgive me from my side.
Actually, the controversy is running on the film ‘Phule’. Anurag raised many questions on the Central Government, Brahmin Community and Censor Board of Film Certification, upset by the delay in its release release and the changes of CBFC. After this Kashyap was fiercely trolled by the Brahmin community.
