A case of rape has come to light with a 20 -year -old girl from Kathgarh area in Nawanshahar district. The victim’s father said that on April 17, at around 10 am, a young man from the village entered his house after getting a wall. At that time the victim was alone in the house.

The accused first assaulted the girl and broke her mobile. He then raped the girl. When the victim’s condition deteriorated, she was admitted to the government hospital in Balachaur at 7 pm.

For more than 24 hours, neither the police nor the hospital administration took any action. On 18 April, the victim’s father contacted Congress party district president Ajay Mangupur. After his intervention, the police recorded the victim’s statements and the hospital started treatment.

Police started investigation
Ajay Mangupur said that a 20 -year -old girl was raped by a village youth, it is a very condemnable thing. The young man should take the harshest action.
