Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that Bangladesh’s statement is full of sly and fraud.
India has told Bangladesh, making rhetoric on Bengal violence, to focus on protecting the minorities with themselves instead of interfering in the issues of India.
In fact, the press secretary of Mohammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, had said that India should protect minority Muslims who have been affected by the violence in Murshidabad, Bengal last week.
Along with this, he denied that Bangladesh has a hand in inciting this violence.
India has strongly opposed this statement on Friday. India said that this statement of Bangladesh is full of rage and fraud. He wants to distract attention from the massacre of minorities.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said,

We reject the comments made by Bangladesh regarding the incidents in West Bengal. Bangladesh is making such statements, while the criminals who tortured minorities are roaming there.
72 attacks on minorities in Bangladesh this year
Attacks on minorities have increased in Bangladesh for some time. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar had told in Parliament last month that after the start of political upheaval in Bangladesh in 2024, there were 2400 incidents of harassment on minorities. This year 72 such incidents have taken place so far.
Violence erupted in Murshidabad, West Bengal from April 8
The Waqf Amendment Act came into force on 8 April. In protest, violence erupted in Murshidabad, West Bengal on the evening of 8 April. The protesters have set several vehicles on fire. It also included police vehicles. Several policemen were injured in a clash with the protesters.
A Muslim organization was demonstrating in Murshidabad to protest against the Waqf law. The police tried to stop the protesters. Meanwhile, the protesters threw stones at the police. The police fired tear gas shells and lathi -charged to chase them. The crowd turned violent. People set fire to police vehicles and other vehicles.

32 Hindus lost their lives in Bangladesh between August 2024 to December 2024
On August 5, 2024, Sheikh Hasina government was counted after a long student movement in Bangladesh. Hasina had to leave the country and flee. With this, the situation in Bangladesh worsened. The police became underground overnight. Law and order collapsed.
Uncontrollable Most of the minorities, especially Hindus, came on the target of the crowd. According to the report of Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, 32 Hindus lost their lives in communal violence here. 13 cases of rape and harassment from women were reported. Around 133 temple was victims of attacks. These incidents took place between 4 August 2024 to 31 December 2024.
According to the council, 2010 incidents of violence against minorities took place in just 15 days after the coup. On 11 January 2025, the Bangladesh government confirmed 1769 of these cases. In 1415 cases of these cases have been completed. 354 cases are being reviewed.
The Bangladesh government took 70 people in custody till December 10 in cases of these attacks. At the same time, a total of 88 cases were registered.
