Cash and gold-silver jewelery recovered from drug smugglers by Nurpur police of Himachal.
The Nurpur police in Kangra district in Himachal has taken major action against drug smuggling. Police have busted an international drug smuggler gang. It is operating from Dubai. The police have also recovered lakhs of rupees, gold and silver jewelry from the smuggler.

Police arrested Mohit Singh from Pathankot last yesterday and recovered Rs 4.90 lakh cash, gold-silver jewelry and insurance bonds from his house. Gagan Sarna’s house received 1.25 kg of gold, silver and Rs 1.15 crore cash. The police have so far arrested 6 accused of this gang.

Let us know that on October 27 last year, Kuldeep Singh was caught with 262 grams of heroin from Indora Mor under police station Damtal. During the investigation, Rajesh Kumar was arrested on 8 April and criminal Raj Kumar alias Sethi on 13 April.
68 grams of gold recovered from Mohit’s house
Balwinder Kohli was arrested on 15 April. On his spot, 4.90 lakh cash, about 68 grams of gold and 95 grams of silver were recovered from the house of Mohit Singh alias Tony from Pathankot. On 16 April, Rs 1.15 crore cash, 125 grams of gold and 4 grams of silver were found from Gagan Sarna’s house.

Operations from Dubai
According to the police, the links of this gang are connected to Dubai. It is operating from Dubai. Investigation revealed that the accused were investing the money earned from the sale of drugs in insurance policy, gold and property.
Kohli’s son absconding
Balwinder Kohli’s son Vishal was caught in a 2023 case with 131 grams of heroin and Rs 1.04 crore. He is absconding after getting bail from the High Court. The police have so far seized illegal assets and cash worth about Rs 3 crore.
DGP appeal- inform the police of smugglers
The DGP of Himachal has appealed to the people to inform the smugglers involved in drug related activities to the nearest police station. Action will continue under the policy of zero tolerance against drugs.
