The arrested accused include Jatinder Singh alias Kali, Lavpreet Singh alias Labha, Sonu, Ravi and Sahil, residents of Kotkapura. The police have recovered 4 kapas and one khanda from the accused. The police had received secret information that the members of the looting gang were hiding in closed rooms near Rabb’s Khuh Link Road from Nai Wali Basti.

On the basis of secret information, the police took immediate action and raided and arrested the accused with sharp weapons. The police have initiated further action against the accused by registering a case under the section of organized crime. The accused were planning a robbery and they also had deadly weapons.

DSP (D) Arun Mundan said that 2 of the arrested accused have been registered earlier and now they will be questioned on remand from the court. He said that 215 accused have been arrested by registering strict action against the organized crime by the Faridkot police.
