Transgender will no longer be considered a woman in Britain. The Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled on the legal definition of being a woman. The court said that the woman who is a biological female from birth will be considered as women.
This decision of the court will affect the transgender rights for a long time. The court explained the Equality Act 2010, stating that the word women and gender explain biological female and biological gender. The five -judge bench unanimously gave this decision.
Judge Patrick Hodge, who was in the bench, said that this act gives transgender people to conserve people with discrimination on gender basis.

Understand the whole matter In 2018, the Parliament of Scotland passed the law, stating that the Scottish public bodies should have 50% women. Transgender women were also considered women under this law.
Regarding this, the Women’s Rights Group for Women Scotland (FWS) filed a case against the government in the Scottish Court. The Scottish courts favored the government in this case. After this, FWS filed an appeal against this law in the Supreme Court.
FWS co-director Suzanne Smith said that it has been a really long journey. We are very grateful for this decision. He said-

Today, the court has said what we have always believed. Women can now feel safe that the services and places fixed for women are only for women.

Trans worker said- this decision derogatory Trans broadcaster and activist India Wilobi says that his heart is broken after the Supreme Court’s decision this morning. He said in an article- My rights have been taken away as a woman under the Equality Act.
India Wilobi said that tell me and others like me to tell me that we are not women, historical injustice and celebrating anti-trans voices today proves for me that I am not safe. This decision is derogatory. I have always been a woman and I will always be a woman.
