According to the deceased’s brother Jeevan, 33 -year -old Ashok was a victim of drug addiction for the last 5 years. He used to consume chitta. The family tried hard to remove her from intoxication, but she did not agree. The incident took place around 5 pm on Wednesday evening. Ashok came home and suddenly fell. The family immediately took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Father of two children
The deceased was married about 11 years ago and has two children. DSP Sukhwinder Singh said that the case is being investigated. If the cause of death is found to be intoxicated, a thorough investigation will be done. The investigation has been handed over to the City One Police.
ASI Jayveer and Kulwinder Singh are investigating the case. Further action will be taken based on the statements of the family.
