The Faridkot District Police has arrested 8 drug smugglers in five separate cases. Action has been taken under the anti -drug campaign under the leadership of SSP Dr. Pragya Jain. A total of 105.66 grams of heroin, 25 thousand 890 drug money and a computer fork from the accused
.
In the first case, the police station city Faridkot police arrested Karn Sharma with 10 grams of heroin, a computer fork and a drug money of Rs 25 thousand 890. In the second case, the police station Sadar Faridkot police arrested three persons riding the car – Sukhvir Singh, Holy Singh and Gurpreet Singh with 25 grams of heroin.
In another action, the police of this police station caught Amrit Singh with 6 grams of heroin.
Case registered under NDPS Act The police team of CIA Staff Jaito arrested two drug addicts Ferozepur Laddu and Vijay Kumar. 57.16 grams of heroin was recovered from both of them. Police arrested Yugabir Singh, a resident of village Rodikpura, along with 7 and a half grams of heroin. According to the police, a case has been registered against all the accused under the NDPS Act.
Now all these will be produced in the court and remand will be demanded, so that they can be questioned and the network of drug smuggling can be exposed.

Case filed on arrested accused before
In this case, SP Sandeep Kumar said that there have been 14 cases against these accused under drug smuggling and other serious sections earlier. He said that during the last 8 months, Faridkot District Police has arrested 531 drug traffickers in 282 cases of drug smuggling.
