Police in Fazilka have arrested three people, including husband and wife in the case of India-Pakistan international border drug smuggling. BSF and State Special Cell took joint action and recovered 2 kg of heroin from the three. The police is investigating the case.

According to the information, the State Special Cell Police got information about the consignment of drugs from Pakistan. The police conducted the operation with the BSF. The three accused were going on a motorcycle with a consignment of drugs from the border.
Identification of arrested accused
Police arrested the three along with heroin on village Rana and Ghadiani Link Road. The arrested accused have been identified as Balwinder Singh of Ghurka, wife Malkit Kaur and Balwant Singh of village Naya Hansta. According to sources, the arrested woman interacted with drug addicts sitting in Pakistan and it was called for a consignment of intoxication.
A case has been filed against the accused. Police are being produced in court and taken on remand.
