The standup comedian Kunal Kamra case will be heard in the Bombay High Court today. The comedian had a petition scope in the court to cancel the FIR lodged on himself, after which the court sought a response from the Maharashtra government on Kamra’s petition.

A bench of Justice Sarang Kotwal and Justice SM Modak issued a formal notice to the state and complainant Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel. The court gave him the time of 16 April to present his case. The detail hearing of the case has been scheduled at 2.30 pm on 16 April.

However, the court refused to hear on 7 April and approved the hearing in the case on 8 April.

While hearing the case, Justice Sundar Mohan granted the transit anticipatory bail to Kamra. Earlier on March 28, the High Court granted Kamra anticipatory bail till 7 April.

Earlier on March 31, Mumbai Police reached home in Shivaji Park in Kamra.
