West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will meet the Netaji Indoor Stadium with representatives of the state’s Imams, Moazzins and Muslim society on Wednesday. According to sources, during this time she can give the next strategic signal against the Waqf law.
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) had also strongly objected to the Waqf Bill in Parliament. After passing the bill, Mamta had said that she will not allow this law to be implemented in West Bengal. They have made it clear that they will stand against the policy of the Center but there should be no violent opposition.
Mamta Banerjee has appealed to the Muslim community to trust the state government and wait for the April 16 meeting, in which she will clear the way for the next fight. TMC alleges- BJP wants communal tension spread on the issue but the people of Bengal should be vigilant.

TMC allegations- BJP behind Murshidabad violence Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and former MP Kunal Ghosh accused the BJP and other political parties behind the Murshidabad violence. He said- We have got input that there was a big conspiracy behind the incidents of violence.
A section of central agencies, BSF and some political parties was involved in this conspiracy. BSF helped and got the miscreants cross the border of the state. Some miscreants entered the area of Murshidabad, spreading anarchy and BSF also helped him back.
Ghosh further said- BJP in its social media posts using pictures of other states and described it as Murshidabad. There is a conspiracy to discredit Bengal with the help of BSF. They are trying to provoke the people of Bengal, so that the BJP can use it for its own benefit.

- April 11:- Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leader under house arrest Demonstrations took place against Waqf law in Srinagar. Some local organizations and leaders described the law against minority rights. Hurriyat leaders were under house arrest when the situation became tense.
- April 12:- Tripura, 18 policemen injured A rally of 4 thousand people became violent in Unakoti district of Tripura. At least 18 policemen, including the SDPO, were injured. The police then arrested 18 protesters.
- April 13:- Assam: Protesters clashed with police in Silchar The protesters pelted stones at the police in Silchar, Assam. Thousands of people gathered without permission in the Madhurband area. The police tried to stop them. First pushed, then throw stones. The police also had to charge sticks to disperse the crowd. The protesters raised slogans of religious and BJP Murdabad. Tamilga Vetri Kazagam (TVK) president and actor Vijay filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Waqf law.
Muslim Personal Law Board announced, demonstration will run for 87 days
The first phase of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) ‘Waqf Rescue Campaign’ will start from April 11 and will run for 7 July i.e. 87 days. In this, 1 crore signatures will be made in protest against the Waqf law, which will be sent to PM Modi. After this, the strategy of the next phase will be decided.

On April 5, the President approves the law The Waqf Bill was passed on April 2 after a discussion of 12-12 hours in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on 3 April. After this, President Draupadi Murmu approved the bill late on 5 April. The government issued a gazette notification regarding the new law. The central government will issue separate notifications regarding the date of implementation of the law.
During the discussion on the bill, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju had said- The purpose of the law is to prevent bias, misuse and encroachment in Waqf properties. The bill was supported by 128 members in the Rajya Sabha, 95 protested. This bill was passed in the midnight of 2 April in the Lok Sabha. During this period, 288 MPs voted in support and 232 in protest.
