Saif Ali Khan was attacked in his house on 15 January.
The Mumbai Police’s charge sheet has been revealed in the case of the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan. In this, he told that the accused wanted to steal 30 thousand rupees, so that he could get fake Aadhaar card and PAN card. For this reason, he had planned a theft at Saif’s house.
The Mumbai Police filed a charge sheet of more than 1613 pages in Bandra Court on April 12. Many revelations have been made in this charge sheet. According to the charge sheet, accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad told the police that he had come to India only for the purpose of getting Indian passports.
He said that it is much easier for an Indian citizen to get a visa to work in foreign countries. In such a situation, he had planned to make fake Aadhaar and PAN cards first, so that he could later apply for passport.
The attacker’s name is Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad. He is currently under arrest.
Shahzad told the police that he hails from Jholokathi district of Bangladesh and had come to India illegally eight months before the robbery attempt. He was in Kolkata for about 15 days before coming to Mumbai.
The accused further said that he used to work in a hotel in Mumbai and took a day off on 15 January. He had to make fake PAN card and Aadhaar card. For this, he had also talked to a person, who had asked for 30 thousand rupees to make fake documents. His intention was to steal the bus, so that he could get his documents made.
The accused explained how to enter Saif’s house
Shahzad told the police that he went to the roof of the building which was near Saif Ali Khan’s house. He jumped from there and entered Saif’s house. He then went above the stairs of the back of the building, where he found a security trap. Then he cut the trap with the help of cutter and reached inside through air conditioning duct.
He then went inside the bathroom of Saif’s house. He told the police that he saw two caretaker there. One was running a mobile and the other was sleeping. A child (Jeh) was sleeping on the bed.
When he entered the house, Naini asked what he needed. Shahzad asked for 1 crore rupees. Meanwhile, the actor came there and caught him. According to the charge sheet, the accused tried to escape and then attacked Saif with a knife.
The accused said-
I stabbed his back and arms. Due to this, his grip became weak. They pushed me into the room and closed the door. But I ran from the window and used a pipe to get down. I changed my clothes down and ran to the bus stop and slept there. Later I went to Bandra station.
Saif was attacked on 15 January
Saif Ali Khan was attacked on 15 January by entering his house Satguru Sharan apartment. After this, Saif himself reached the hospital. He suffered injuries on hands, spinal cord and back. The actor was discharged on 21 January after treatment. The police arrested Bangladeshi citizen Shariful Islam after 2 days.
Saif’s wife Kareena Kapoor also has a statement in the charge sheet. The actress said in the statement that on the day of the incident, I met my friend Riya Kapoor and returned home at 1 pm. At around 2 o’clock, Jahangir’s Naini came out shouting from his room.
Naini had told that Jeh Baba (Jahangir) has a man in the room and he has a knife in his hand. He is asking for money. After this, Kareena and Saif reached Jahangir’s room and saw the attacker. Then the attacker stabbed Saif with a knife. This charge sheet includes 25 CCTV footage along with statement of 35 witnesses.
A part of a 2.5 -inch long knife was removed from inside Saif’s body during surgery.
Police found important evidence in Saif Ali case
- According to reports, the police have mentioned several CCTV footage in the charge sheet, in this CCTV footage, the accused Shariful Islam is seen going from the whole way to Saif’s apartment. Police say they sent around 300 CCTV footage to forensic science laboratory in the investigation of the case, out of which 25 footage appears to be decent in.
- The police have also registered the location of the mobile phone of accused Shariful Islam in the charge sheet as evidence. Along with the location of the phone, the internet protocol details report was also included in the charge sheet by the police. Apart from this, the police have claimed that after the attack, the accused used data calls to talk to their family members in Bangladesh.
- Police said that the piece recovered from the accused, the part of the incident and the piece of Saif’s spinal cord, all three are of the same knife.
- The police have also mentioned the report of the Crime Scene Recreation in the charge sheet, in which they told about the whole incident.
- The charge sheet also mentions the report of the left -handed fingerprint of the accused.
