There is a question going on in political corridors and especially in BJP these days, who will be the new national president of the party and when will it be found? This is the answer from senior party leaders- at the right time. When will the appropriate time come? The answer is to become a common conscience.
Actually, efforts are on to agree on the new president in the party. As soon as consensus is made, the election will be announced. The term of JP Nadda as a national president has ended on June 2024. He is on extension. The National Membership Campaign has been completed to choose the new president.
Elections of 10 states have been held in an organizational point of view, 26 are yet to be held. It is the tradition that the national president elections are held after the elections in 18 states are completed. However, it is not obliged.
According to the party leader, if the National Council has been elected in 5 states under Section 19 of the party constitution, then any 20 members of the electoral college can jointly propose the name of the national president.

Husband Srinivasan has been the state minister of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. In such a situation, the family is very close to the Sangh and the BJP.
- Tamilisai Beautyarajan: Has been associated with BJP since 1999. Has served in many important positions including the National Secretary. BJP’s state president (2014-2019) has been in Tamil Nadu. Leaders close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are counted among the leaders. In Tamil Nadu, BJP has contributed significantly to the expansion of the party despite being in opposition.
- D. Purandeshwari: Former Chief Minister and TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao is the daughter of (NTR). She first worked as a Union Minister in Congress, then joined BJP. Andhra Pradesh is currently the BJP president. By making him national president, the party can benefit from the support of the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana).

According to the party’s rules, the tenure of the BJP president is 3 years. A person cannot become the president of the party more than 2 times. In such a situation, now the new president of the party will have to hold 12 important elections during his tenure.
