Congress MP Renuka Chaudhary on Monday brought a dog into the Parliament complex, which she claimed was a stray. Rejecting objections from other MPs, he claimed that real dogs are sitting in Parliament and biting people every day. Chaudhary told that he had saved this puppy while going to Parliament in the morning. They witnessed a scooter-car collision and saw the puppy roaming near the road. To make sure the dog didn’t get hurt, she brought it along in her car. The dog remained inside the car and went away shortly after the Congress MP was taken out of the car.

Chaudhary told ANI is there any law? I was going. A scooter and a car collided. This little puppy was roaming on the road. I thought it would hit the wheel. So I picked it up, put it in the car, came to Parliament and sent it back. The car is gone, and so is the dog. So what does this discussion mean? Without naming any National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MP, Chaudhary took a dig at the ruling party, saying “the real dogs are sitting in Parliament,” and anyway there is no discussion on it.
He said that the real reapers are sitting in the Parliament. They run the government. We take care of a mute animal, and it has become a big issue and topic of discussion. Does the government have no other work? I sent the dog home and told him to keep it at home… We don’t talk about those people who bite us every day while sitting in Parliament. Meanwhile, in the winter session of Parliament, especially in the Lok Sabha, opposition MPs repeatedly raised slogans and protested across the country demanding discussion on the Special Intensive Amendment (SIR). The opposition raised slogans of “Vote thief, Gaddi chhod” in the House, while MP Sandhya Rai, sitting on the Speaker’s chair, adjourned the House till 2 pm.

Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha proceedings were also adjourned till 2 pm after discussion on the motion congratulating the new Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, who took charge in September. In this discussion, many Rajya Sabha MPs, cutting across party lines, welcomed Vice President Radhakrishnan to the House.
