Ashoknagar/Guna/Bhopal Union Communications and North Eastern Region Development Minister and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, during his stay today, suddenly reached the fertilizer distribution center located at Nai Sarai in Isagarh of Ashoknagar district amid the increasing concerns of farmers regarding the availability of DAP fertilizer in the area. Scindia reached the spot and made a complete assessment of the stock, supply and distribution system so that no farmer has to worry about fertilizer. The Union Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government of Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Center is committed to providing complete fertilizer supply to the farmers and gradually the remaining people will also be provided fertilizer soon.

Self inspected DAP fertilizer, direct communication with farmers

During the inspection, Scindia himself checked the DAP bags available at the center and also inspected the quantity and quality of the bags being given to the farmers. He got the allocation being made to the farmers and the actual status of the stock matched with the distribution register, POS machine.
The Union Minister interacted directly with the farmers and heard their problems and learned about the difficulties being faced in fertilizer distribution. During discussion with farmers, he said that farmers are our food providers. It is not acceptable to cause inconvenience to them under any circumstances. I have come to ensure that there is no hindrance in the availability of fertilizers and that every farmer gets his due on time.

Ground review of supply chain, immediate instructions to officials

Scindia examined the entire delivery process, including on-the-spot assessment of all aspects including current stock, upcoming supply, unloading of trucks, token distribution, line management and speed of delivery of fertilizer to farmers. During the review, he directed the district administration, agriculture department and distribution agencies to monitor the availability of fertilizers round the clock and any kind of delay or irregularity should be removed immediately. He clearly said that any irregularity in fertilizer distribution will not be tolerated and the convenience of farmers is the top priority.

Scindia assured farmers to ensure adequate supply

After the inspection, Minister Scindia said that the government is taking every necessary step to keep the distribution system transparent and systematic. Additional arrangements are also being made to ensure that farmers do not have to stand in long queues unnecessarily. Farmers expressed satisfaction over the direct intervention of the Union Minister and said that after the inspection the system has improved.
Scindia said that the first priority for me is my farmers. There will be no delay in solving any problem related to farming. If any difficulty arises at any stage of fertiliser, seed, irrigation or crop, I personally come to the field and ensure its solution. Development of the sector is possible only when the farmers are strong. Due to this surprise inspection of the Union Minister, an atmosphere of relief and confidence was seen among the farmers.
