Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has responded to the politics of opposition parties Congress, Akali Dal and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders on the foundation stone after toilet construction. Harjot Bains said that today the opposition is questioning the nameplate on the toilet walls in schools, but she was not ashamed when the daughters were forced to defecate in the open, and were leaving school due to lack of toilets.
He said, “The toilets in the schools where the children of Congress and BJP leaders study are also installed, but when it comes to the children of the poor, there was no time to get them to the bathroom. These parties killed the rights of the poor of Punjab for years and today when we gave them the rights, they are burning.”

The Education Minister said that the work that Congress, Akali Dal and BJP could not do together in 75 years, the Aam Aadmi Party government has done the work in a few years. He said, “These are not a nameplate, but the political failure of Punjab. Seeing them, people will know who worked and who made only promises.”

Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Neil Garg also targeted the opposition parties fiercely. He said that it is a very embarrassing thing that the parties which remained in power for seven decades could not even provide basic facilities like toilets in schools. He said, “When your children studied in schools where ACs were installed in the toilet, then our children did not have any toilet.”
Neil Garg said that in the Aam Aadmi Party government, every child will now get the right to education as well as respect and cleanliness. He said that this is a slap on the mouth of the nameplate opponents, which shows who did the real work and who only kept making hollow promises.
He reiterated that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab is bringing revolutionary changes in the field of education and now no child will be forced to leave school only due to lack of toilet.
