India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has expressed his disappointment and frustration over the delay in the Air India Express flight. He described it as the worst airline experience due to lack of communication and updates from the airline’s side. Siraj was returning from Guwahati to Hyderabad after the embarrassing 408-run defeat at the hands of South Africa in the second Test, which resulted in a 0-2 loss in the two-match series. This is India’s second clean sweep at home, after a 3-0 defeat to New Zealand last year.
Siraj expressed his displeasure over the delay in the flight on Wednesday evening, which was scheduled to take off at 7.25 pm. He highlighted the airline’s lack of communication. In an ex-post, Siraj wrote that Air India flight number IX 2884 from Guwahati to Hyderabad was scheduled to take off at 7.25, but no communication has been received from the airline and even after repeated contacts, they have delayed the flight without any valid reason. This is really disappointing and this is the common complaint of every traveler. The flight was delayed by 4 hours and we are stuck with no update yet. Worst airline experience ever. I really wouldn’t advise anyone to go on this flight if they can’t afford a stand.
Air India Express on Thursday said its flight (IX 2884) from Guwahati to Hyderabad has been canceled due to unexpected operational reasons. This clarification came after Siraj publicly accused the airline of delaying the flight from Guwahati and lack of communication in this regard. “We regret to inform you that the flight has been canceled due to unexpected operational reasons,” Air India Express said in response to Siraj’s post. Our team at the airport is actively assisting all guests with necessary arrangements. We understand how difficult this situation is, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Please be assured that our team will keep you updated and provide all possible assistance.
