Consignment of heroin seized by Punjab Police.
Punjab Police’s Anti Narcotics Task Force (AntF) Border Range Amritsar has achieved a major success under an organized campaign. The team arrested village Khaira, Thana Gharinda, Amritsar resident Heera Singh and recovered 18.227 kg of heroin from his possession.

Investigation has revealed that Heera Singh and his partner Kulwinder Singh alias Kinda (village Dauke, Thana Gharinda) were in contact with the Pakistan -based drug smuggler ‘Billa’. Both of them smuggled heroin from across the border and supplied to Punjab on the instructions of Billa.
Smuggling was being done through drone
Investigations have revealed that the delivery of heroin from Pakistan was dropped at a drone or at the border areas. Hira Singh and his partner used to smuggle these consignments in various parts of the state on the instructions of Billa.
Search for Kulwinder Singh continues
Although Heera Singh has been arrested, his partner Kulwinder Singh is still absconding. Police teams are continuously raiding its possible locations. Security agencies are also trying to find out who else people are involved in this network.
Action continues against drugs
DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav has said that this arrest is part of our strategic proceedings against drug trafficking in Punjab. We are taking strict steps at every level to destroy Pakistan -based drug network. Hira Singh is being questioned and the entire network will soon be exposed.
The biggest consignment of this year
The recovered 18.227 kg heroin is one of the largest seizures of this year. Along with this, the police are also trying to find out at which places Heera Singh has supplied heroin.
