Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur visited the victim’s family three days after the incident, following the continuous questions raised on the police and the protests of the family and city residents in the case of the murder of a 13-year-old girl in Paras Estate of the western constituency of Jalandhar. He held a meeting with the family in a closed room and assured them that action would be taken against the accused soon.
Regarding the action against the policemen, he said that action will be taken after the investigation. Additional Superintendent of Police (ADCP) Akrishi Jain and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Naresh Dogra were also present with them. Officials condoled with the family and assured them that no one will be spared in the case and strict action will be taken against the concerned personnel if police negligence is found.
Let us tell you that the 13-year-old girl went to her friend’s house but did not return. The police were informed. Some people saw him going to the house of the accused. Police searched the house but found nothing. Later, when the neighbors searched, her body was found in the bathroom of the accused’s house.
Harminder Singh alias Happy, arrested on charges of murder, was produced in the court today after being discharged from the Civil Hospital, where the police remanded him. The police said that during the remand, the complete motive and conspiracy behind the incident will be revealed. He said that the family has made serious allegations against the police personnel.

The family has demanded that the case be heard in a fast-track court so that the accused can be punished at the earliest. The family demanded death penalty for the accused. Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur said that the family will get justice and the investigation will be expedited. The negligent police officers will be prosecuted. No culprit will be spared.
