‘Free bus service and world class university in the holy city’, CM Mann made big announcements

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that free minibuses, autos and rickshaws would ply in the three holy cities: Amritsar (Walled City), Talwandi Sabo and Sri Anandpur Sahib. The government will bear the entire cost of the free travel facility for the pilgrims. A world class university will be established in the name of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur, the syllabus of which will be decided after the suggestions of the people.

A new heritage street will be developed in Sri Anandpur Sahib, presenting the city’s cultural and historical significance with modern amenities. Chief Minister Mann Sri Anandpur Sahib was speaking at a program to celebrate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

He announced that the Charan Ganga Stadium would be upgraded with modern facilities and government shops in the city would be developed in a uniform manner. The Chief Minister referring to Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’s unparalleled sacrifice said that such sacrifice is not seen anywhere else.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Member of Parliament Malvinder Singh Kang, Tourism Minister Tarunpreet Singh and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains were also present and addressed the function.
