5 military officers close to Sheikh Hasina under house arrest: two brigadier included, accused of help during Bangladesh student movement

The Bangladesh government has canceled Sheikh Hasina’s passport.

5 army officers were under house arrest for the alleged role in the student movement in Dhaka Bangladesh. These include Brigadier Zakaria Hussain, Brigadier General Imran, Colonel Abdullah al-Momain from RAB, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ridwanul Islam of BGB and Major Mohammad Noman Al Ferruk from East Bengal Regiment.

All these officers have been kept under house arrest in Dhaka Cantonment. They have been accused of ordering firing on protesters during the student agitation. They have been under house arrest at a time when Army Chief General Waqar Uj Zaman has gone on a five -day visit to Russia from 6 April.

Officers have been accused in the International Crime Tribunal. General Hamid was also the ADC of former PM Sheikh Hasina. At the same time, warrant issued in corruption case is not being reduced by Bangladesh’s former PM Sheikh Hasina.

A Bangladesh court on Thursday issued a new arrest warrant against former PM Sheikh Hasina, her daughter Syima Vajd Putul and 17 others in a corruption case. They have been accused of acquiring residential plots through fraud.

The movement against reservation had coupled

Sheikh Hasina left the country on 5 August last year and came to India. Actually, students were protesting against him. On June 5 in Bangladesh, the High Court implemented a 30% quota system in the job, protesting the students of universities in Dhaka against this reservation. This reservation was being given to the families of freedom fighters.

However, this reservation was later abolished by the Hasina government. But after this, students started protesting demanding their resignation. A large number of students and common people took to the road against Hasina and her government. Two months after this Protest, he resigned as Prime Minister on 5 August. After this the interim government was established.

Sheikh Hasina said- Allah saved me from some purpose

On 8 April, former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had said that Allah has kept me alive for some purpose. I will return. The day will definitely come when those targeting the leaders of Awami League will be brought to the dock of justice.

Awami League President Hasina said this when she was talking to the family members of her party leaders on social media. She has been living in India since leaving Bangladesh in August last year.
