In the search of the truck, a sawdust filled in 113 sacks was found. The smugglers hidden it among 563 gattus of tamarind. In the sharp smell of tamarind, an attempt was made to hide the smell of sawdust poppy. Police arrested the truck driver from the spot. The accused has been identified as Balraj Singh, a resident of village Bondli in Samrala.

During interrogation, the accused claims that he is only a truck driver. He was not aware of the goods. However, the police suspect that he is an active member of the gang. Investigation revealed that the intoxicating substance was being brought from Jharkhand. It did not get caught in the investigation on any border on the way.
