He said that our strategy to deal with this situation is that we should proceed with the US on bilateral trade deal this year. India is perhaps the only country that has come to a conversation with the US to sign a trade deal with the US after Donald Trump became President for the second time.

Jaishankar said that the Biden administration was exactly against us to make bilateral compromises. From the Indian perspective, making bilateral compromises with America is neither negative for us nor is it that we do not want. Rather this has been our aim for a long time.
