Three killed in collision between car and courier vehicle in Karnataka’s Bidar district

Three people died in a collision between a car and a courier service vehicle in Karnataka’s Bidar district on Wednesday morning. Police gave this information. The deceased have been identified as Rachappa (57), Naveen (30) and Nagaraj (38), who were residents of Narayankhed taluk in Sangareddy district of Telangana, police said. The accident occurred around 7.30 am near Nilamandi Tanda in Bhalki taluk when they were returning after offering prayers at the Sri Dattatreya temple in Kalaburagi district, he said.

A senior police officer said preliminary investigation revealed that the accident occurred when the car carrying five people was turning towards Bidar-Kalaburgi Highway via Humnabad when it collided with a courier service vehicle.

He said that all three people died on the spot while two other people in the car and the Bolero driver were injured, who are undergoing treatment in a hospital in Bidar. Police said that investigation into the case is ongoing.
