The Israeli military says the body of a dead hostage has been handed over to the Red Cross in Gaza. Before Tuesday’s announcement, Hamas had returned the bodies of 20 hostages to Israel since the current ceasefire began.
If the bodies handed over are confirmed to be those of hostages, the remains of seven other people will remain in Gaza. A ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas began on October 10.
