Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday interacted with Indian women’s cricket team captains Harmanpreet Kaur, Harleen Deol and Amanjot Kaur through video call. The Chief Minister congratulated the players on their historic victory. He said “Play your heart out, we are all with you. Once again, congratulations to everyone for this great win.”
CM Mann said that the World Cup trophy should be brought to Punjab. If necessary, I will talk to BCCI. People of Punjab also want to see the World Cup trophy. The Chief Minister said that this is a big achievement. Beating Australia was also special. The Chief Minister told Harmanpreet Kaur that by taking the 12 o’clock catch, you changed not just a date but history.

The Chief Minister said that these girls are the pride of the state and whenever they return to Punjab, they will be warmly welcomed. He said that these players are brand ambassadors of the state as they have set a new example with their hard work. The Chief Minister further said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that this Indian cricket team has brought glory to the country by winning this cup.
