Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has launched an ambitious scheme to enable the lives of the disabled people of the state. The name of this scheme is Chief Minister Disabled Empowerment Scheme. This scheme is also known as Sambal Yojana. Under this scheme, artificial limbs and equipment are provided to the disabled people by the Bihar government. According to a report released by the Bihar government, under this ambitious scheme, battery operated tricycles have been provided to 21,185 disabled people. So let’s know about this scheme…

Who will get the benefit?

Only the disabled people of Bihar will get the benefit of this scheme. Under this scheme, all people above 5 years of age with at least 40% disability are provided hand-operated wheelchairs, hearing aids, tricycles, crutches, callipers, etc. Battery tricycles will be available to those people who are studying in college or university or are employed. The distance to the college/university or place of employment should be 3 km or more. People fitting in both these categories will get the benefit of this scheme.

To avail the benefits of this scheme, beneficiaries will have to register by visiting online.bih.nic.in. After registration, the form will open and first of all you have to tell whether you are related to education or employment. After this the applicant will have to fill his name, parents’ name and date of birth. Now select the category of disability. Then after filling the other required information, enter the Aadhaar number and click on the red button.
Now enter the password of your choice after the email ID and mobile number. Which must be remembered. After this click on Agree and then click on Register. After the registration is complete, the user ID and password will appear in the window, which should be printed. In this way your registration will be done. Then you complete the online application.
