Masterstroke of Grand Alliance in Bihar elections: Tejashwi Yadav’s announcement, guarantee of government job to every family!

After RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav was declared the chief ministerial candidate, the grand alliance in Bihar is preparing to release its joint election manifesto on October 28. The manifesto will include Tejashwi Yadav’s key promises, including employment and livelihood for every family, along with Congress promises, such as free electricity and subsidized gas cylinders.

Tejashwi Yadav will release manifesto with leaders of constituent parties of opposition alliance

The Rashtriya Janata Dal-led grand alliance will release its manifesto for the two-phase assembly elections in Bihar on October 28 in the presence of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and other top leaders of the grand alliance. The development comes a day after the opposition camp declared Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni as its deputy chief ministerial candidate.

It is expected that the election manifesto of the Grand Alliance, which also includes Congress and Left parties, will mainly focus on providing government jobs and making Jeevika Didis and contractual employees permanent. Apart from this, there may also be a provision to provide reservation in all private educational institutions of the state.

Tejashwi Yadav’s promise to Jeevika Didis and contract employees

It is noteworthy that RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav had announced on Wednesday that if Bharatiya Janata Party comes to power in the state, then Jeevika Didis and contractual employees will be made permanent. At a press conference in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav also said that interest loans for Jeevika Didis will also be waived off. At present, there are more than 1.45 crore Jeevika Didis in Bihar.

Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav said, “Our government will also provide a health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh to all ‘Jeevika Didis’ of the state. If they are engaged in other government activities, they will also be given an additional allowance of Rs 2,000 per month.”

Promise of a government job to every family

Former Deputy Chief Minister Yadav had also promised that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would provide a government job to every household in Bihar within 20 days of coming to power in the state, drawing the ire of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and other members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Attacking the NDA, Yadav had said it was not a ‘jumlebaazi’ and the alliance was not deceiving anyone. Yadav had said, “Within 20 days of the formation of the government, we will make a new Act for this and within 20 months not a single household will be left without a government job.”

Assembly elections in Bihar will be held on 6 and 11 November. The results will be declared on 14 November.
