Amritsar Commissionerate Police has arrested a drug kingpin in a major blow to a cross-border drug smuggling module. A large quantity of heroin was also recovered from the arrested accused. This information has been shared by DGP Gaurav Yadav.
DGP Gaurav Yadav shared the post on X and wrote – Acting on intelligence, Amritsar Commissionerate Police busted a cross-border drug smuggling module linked to Pakistan and arrested drug kingpin Rajpal Singh and recovered 5.025 kg of heroin.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested accused was running a cross-border network linked to a Pakistan-based handler and was using the Dera Baba Nanak sector to receive drug consignments. An FIR has been registered at Cheharta police station, Amritsar. An investigation is ongoing to uncover the entire alliance, including the network’s past and future ties.
