There are some names in Indian politics who are recognized not only by their positions but by their actions, vision, determination, determination and national spirit. Amit Anilchandra Shah is one such name – a person who is steadfast in struggles, an architect of organization and a guardian of the security and unity of the nation. As an influential and skilled politician, Amit Shah holds a prominent place in Indian politics. As Home and Cooperation Minister, the revolutionary and epoch-making work he has done in the fields of India’s internal security, social unity and rural development proves him to be the ‘Iron Man’ of our times – the true inheritor of the tradition of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Certainly Shah is a revolutionary and era-making folk hero. He is often considered a close aide of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an efficient ruler, and a key election strategist for the party. As a teenager, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. It was from here that his political journey began. In 1987 he became a member of BJP’s Yuva Morcha. During Narendra Modi’s tenure as chief minister of Gujarat, Amit Shah emerged as a powerful leader. He held several important ministries, including Home, Law and Justice and Transport.
Amit Shah made the Ministry of Cooperation not just a department but a movement for the renaissance of rural India. In his view, cooperation is not just an economic structure, but a practical philosophy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’. He gave a new impetus to co-operation from sugar factories to dairy, agro-industry, seed production and marketing. His work towards preparation of the country’s first National Cooperative Policy draft, digitization of PACs and transformation of 200,000 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies into a multi-dimensional model is historic. Under his leadership, cooperatives have now become the backbone of self-reliant India, where farmers are not just producers but partners. Naxalism had created an environment of fear, insecurity and underdevelopment in the interior parts of India for decades. Under the leadership of Amit Shah, the Central Government took decisive action in Naxal affected areas under the ‘comprehensive strategy’. This policy, based on a three-tier structure of law and order, intelligence and local development, shook Naxalism from its roots. Today more than 90 percent of Naxal areas of India are returning to the path of peace, in the near future India will become a Naxal free nation, this is the result of Amit Shah’s wisdom, determination and determination. He believed – “Terror can be eradicated not by bullets, but by development and dialogue.” The party started seeing glimpses of his different working style after becoming the president. Amit Shah’s name will be written in golden letters in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. Under his strategy and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the removal of Article 370 was not just a constitutional decision, but a pledge of the integrity of the nation. This was the final blow to the divisive mentality that had kept Kashmir in the throes of separation for years. Today the tricolor flutters proudly in the valley, new doors of tourism and investment are opening, and confidence is returning among the youth – this is the result of Amit Shah’s fearless political will. He had said in Parliament – “Kashmir is the crown of India, and unless there is peace and development in every valley of it, our efforts will remain incomplete.” The most important thing in Shah’s working style is to anticipate something. Be it the issue of removal of 370 from Kashmir or preparation of any election strategy, they have an idea of where to place which piece. The effect of this is that after the removal of Article 370, if there is to be peace in Kashmir and peaceful elections there, then the centuries-old dispute like Ayodhya has to end peacefully.
As Home Minister, Amit Shah took the country’s security system to new heights. Stringent laws against terrorist networks, increase in the power of NIA, technological innovations in border security and new initiatives in police reforms – all these have strengthened India’s internal strength. He implemented ‘zero tolerance policy’. Be it the Delhi riots or the challenge of cross-border terrorism, his decisions in every situation were swift, balanced and in the national interest. During his tenure, India is witnessing the most stable period of internal security, where terrorism, Naxalism and separatism have been controlled. From political point of view, Amit Shah is called ‘Modi’s Hanuman’, because he is not only the most trusted aide of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but also a warrior who puts his vision into practice. From 2014 to 2020, he served as the 10th President of the BJP, making the party the world’s largest political organization with a membership equal to that of more than 70 countries. His strategy, organization and public relations led BJP to historic victories in the 2014 and 2019 elections. His strategic skills took the party to new heights of success. But his identity goes beyond politics – he is the protector of national unity, the sentinel of security and the communicator of cooperation.
After the organization, Amit Shah proved his skill in the government also, so whenever the story of India becoming Modi-like is narrated in parliamentary history, it will be natural to mention ‘Shah Niti’ like ‘Chanakya Niti’. Party leaders also understood this strategy of Amit Shah when Shah’s picture was not visible even on the official posters and banners of the elections, in fact it was ‘Shah’s policy’ to Modiize the entire election. Therefore, Shah took a clear decision that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be on the campaign materials. Call him Chanakya of modern politics or Modi’s trusted charioteer, it is because of this special thinking that BJP National President Amit Shah has become an indelible identity.
Amit Shah is considered an excellent organizer and campaign strategist. His supporters consider him a great defender of Hinduism, while his critics see him as a polarizing figure. He is known for his political skills and down to earth work. Amit Shah’s political career reflects his strategic skills, organizational abilities and tendency to take tough decisions. His journey from a small worker to the Home Minister of the country is a proof of his strong influence in Indian politics. He is likely to remain an important figure in the Indian political scene in the future also. Amit Shah’s personality revives the memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Where Patel merged the princely states, Shah unified the ideas. Where Patel assembled the map of India with iron will, Shah realized the spirit of united India on the political and social level. The motto of his life has been – “Not the individual, but the nation is paramount.” Shah kept nationalism paramount and added development to it with the slogan ‘work stops, country does not bow’. His image of facing challenges has made him combative and passionate towards his goal.
Amit Shah’s working style is unique and unique, whenever he takes up any work, he has a clear goal in mind and works on the strategy accordingly. Don’t care whether the results are in favor or against. His vision remains clear and the focus is on work rather than results. That’s why Modi-Shah duo is known to fight every election as a war. Shah believes that the organization should always be dynamic 24 hours 365 days. He has been doing this work as booth in-charge of the ward in his political journey of five decades. Shah, who is fond of songs and music, is among the fans of Nida Fazli. He is definitely fond of eating and drinking, but takes only restrained and disciplined food. Amit Shah is not just a politician but a Karmayogi who led an era. There is vision, not tact, in his politics; There is no harshness in his decisions, but depth of patriotism. Be it the renaissance of cooperation, strengthening of security or integration of Kashmir – in every field he has proved that if the intentions are true and the vision is broad then no change is impossible. Amit Shah is one of that rare category of leaders in the history of India whose actions have changed the direction of the nation – in fact, he is today’s “troubleshooter, organizer and iron man”.
